Overview
Egress Pros Virginia is a rapidly growing egress (emergency exit) window sales and installation company. In order to keep up with demand, we are seeking skilled Contractors in the Central and Northern Virginia areas to subcontract for the installation of our windows.
To be efficient, your installation team will need to consist of 3 individuals that collectively have a strong background in construction and remodeling, preferably with a focus on window installation and related tasks. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work cohesively as a team.
The Window Installation Contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all installations meet local and state code requirements, quality standards and customer satisfaction.
The team leader must have good communication and customer service skills as they will have to work directly with the customer on the day of installation to ensure the installation meets their expectations.
Egress Pros Virginia will provide on the job training to make sure your team has all of the necessary knowledge to complete the installation process safely, efficiently, and in accordance with our quality standards.
As a subcontractor, you will need to provide the following:
Valid business license for the state of Virginia
Proof of proper liability insurance
Valid driver's license
Truck capable of towing up to 10,000lbs
Hand tools (drills, grinders, skill saw, chop saw, hammers, levels, ladders, etc.)
Responsibilities
Install windows efficiently while ensuring proper sealing and insulation.
Perform trim carpentry and drywall work as needed during installations.
Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for assembly and installation tasks.
Safely and effectively operate a mini excavator.
Conduct remodeling tasks related to window installation, including caulking and finishing touches such as installing interior trim molding.
Collaborate with other contractors or team members to ensure project timelines are met.
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of the project.
Experience
Proven experience in window installation or related construction fields is preferred.
Familiarity with trim carpentry, drywall installation, caulking techniques, and the mixing and application of mortar is highly desirable.
Experience using both power tools and hand tools safely in a construction environment.
Experience operating a mini excavator.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently and cohesively as a team.
